Splatoon 3 launches this summer on September 9.
Splatoon 3 commits to reimplementing a focus on individual prowess so key to the original Splatoon's experience.
NintendObs Daily. Friday, April 22.
That's two big surprises in one week. Once again from nowhere, Nintendo dropped an entire turf war round of Splatoon 3 for everyone to check out and see what the day-to-day experience on the game will look and feel like, concluding with the announcement of its release date nearing the end of summer this September 9. Splatoon's Twitter accounts completed the news with details on the new kind of bow-like weapons called stringers, shooting horizontally when standing and vertically when jumping. A member of this family, Splatoon 3's flagship weapon held by Inkling Girl since reveal is the Tri-Stringer, throwing three shots at once with exploding capabilities whereby no charge means one dart explodes, a half-charge means two darts explode, and a full charge means the three of them blow up. Splatoon 3 is now up for physical and digital pre-orders and lo and behold, Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion joined Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack for the occasion, if anyone still needed proof that Nintendo's premium subscription plan included "Expansion" in its moniker for that very purpose.
