From Sea of Stars to Omori, and Yasunori Mitsuda to Omocat.
None of the games I mentioned in my previous entry made it in the show, but it literally felt like they weren't needed at all.

That Indie World Showcase was a truly nice show, to be honest. And it may be a great way to end 2021 for Nintendo, through creativity and simplicity. It all started with Sea of Stars, a new turn-based RPG by the makers of The Messenger, supported by tracks from legendary composer Yasunori Mitsuda lately of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 fame, scheduled for Holiday 2022. And culminated with the announcement of Omori for Nintendo Switch, a modern and Western EarthBound arriving in Spring 2022. It's interesting how even though Omori closed both the occidental and the Japanese Indie World showcases, it presented as something familiar in Europe and North America and something brand-new in the very Japan the game is inspired from.
