Reflections on my Xenoblade Chronicles X interview.
Discovering this tells a greater story of the timeframe between recording and release for a Hiroyuki Sawano drop.
NintendObs Daily. Friday, April 23.
Two weeks ago I interviewed David Whitaker from the Xenoblade Chronicles X soundtrack, who left me with a very peculiar quote on a potential remaster of Xenoblade Chronicles X on Nintendo Switch: "I can only answer, let's see what happens." But what I also found interesting was learning that the track Melancholia wasn't originally composed with the game in mind, even though it became a central part of Xenoblade Chronicles X's soundscape. Discovering this tells a greater story of the timeframe between recording and release for a Hiroyuki Sawano drop. Fans of his across anime mainly (Attack on Titan...) may not realize this man is sitting on some amazing music at the moment, some of which have yet to blow us away, and others which, just as epic, may never be released.
