Reflections on my CrossCode composer interview.
I am rooting for him and for everyone at Radical Fish Games.
NintendObs Daily. Tuesday, May 25.
Just last Sunday, I interviewed Deniz Akbulut, the composer on CrossCode. I previously interviewed Felix 'Lachsen' Klein from Radical Fish Games to talk about the game from a development perspective, so this latest discussion came to complement a profile on a very unique Western JRPG. For starters, I had no idea Felix was that reknown in the German RPG Maker community, so much so it was Deniz who came to him back in the days hoping they could collaborate, and now they've made CrossCode together, with Deniz making music on some of Felix's early projects as well. Even more surprising to me, the friend of mine who recommended me CrossCode actually played one of Felix's RPG Maker games from a long time ago, Velsarbor, and it's through my interview with Deniz that he learned about both games being developed by the same person.
