MLB The Show 2022 now on Nintendo Switch courtesy of PlayStation Studios.
After fifteen years of Sony exclusivity, the officially licensed Major League Baseball videogame is now on Nintendo consoles.
NintendObs Daily. Tuesday, April 5.
This has been a little more than two years in the making. On December 9, 2019, "Major League Baseball (MLB), the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) and San Diego Studio jointly announced [...] that they have entered into multi-year extensions to continue development and distribution of MLB The Show," "bring[ing] MLB The Show, for the first time ever, to additional console platforms beyond PlayStation platforms." The move took long enough but is now a thing. After fifteen years of Sony exclusivity, the officially licensed Major League Baseball videogame is now on Nintendo consoles and will arguably do so on a yearly basis as the press release outlined.
