Why I'm not cool with Monster Hunter Stories 2.
If you are really adamant about playing this game, run the other way and play it via Steam.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruin is available today on Nintendo Switch and Steam. For people unfamiliar with the series, simply put, Monster Hunter Stories is a Pokémon-like Monster Hunter spin-off, with Monsties as Pokémon you can choose, turn-based battles just like in Pokémon, different egg qualities from Monsters just like in Pokémon, gene selection just like in Pokémon, even HM equivalents since Monsties can overcome map obstacles through different unique capabilities. In my view, Monster Hunter Stories was first brought about in 2016 as a way to expand the Monster Hunter franchise to a younger audience, following the success of the Pokémon franchise and that of Yo-kai Watch to kids in Japan at the time. Fast-forward to 2021, by launching Monster Hunter Rise first and announcing both games at the same time with crossover content, the objective this time around is reversed: bringing an older audience to Monster Hunter Stories.
