This just in, a new member of the Nintendo Switch family of systems has been announced out of nowhere today. Nintendo Switch (OLED model) will be arriving in stores for $349.99 MSRP on October 8, the same day as Metroid Dread, telling you how serious Nintendo is about reviving the Metroid franchise. Nintendo Switch (OLED model) improves on each of the existing Nintendo Switch's three play modes. In TV mode, its dock has a built-in wired LAN port to hook an Ethernet cable directly. In Tabletop mode, its wide adjustable stand provides flexibilty with a variety of angles. And in Handheld mode, the 7-inch OLED screen is bigger than the original, its "organic light-emitting diode" technology emitting light pixel by pixel for vivid colors and crisp contrasts. It's worth noting for future buyers that the original Nintendo Switch dock and the new OLED model dock can be used interchangeably, which is great for anyone who already owns several docks for several displays.
