When Nintendo discussed anime waifus on Nintendo Treehouse Live.
It hardly gets more un-Nintendo than No More Heroes III for a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
NintendObs Daily. Wednesday, July 14.
It was this E3 2021 actually. On a segment that didn't air live partially for that very reason. In case you missed it, a bonus Nintendo Treehouse Live was recorded for No More Heroes III, from SUDA51 (who appeared at the end for a special message) and Grasshopper Manufacture. The gameplay definitely comes from an early build but isn't that far from the final product, and obviously nowhere near its original CGI footage, which tends to illustrate a mix of a design choice and budget restrictions to give the game some sort of '90s comic feel. In No More Heroes III and in the franchise at large, outrage is part of the experience with over-the-top cursing and nonsensical enemy characters for a parodic anti-hero brawler perfectly true to the name of the game.
