It's a news that flew a little under the radar last week but which sincerely is of major importance. On April 12 Nintendo announced they secured the use of 10,028.55 square meters of land next to their corporate headquarters for the bidding price of 5 billion yen from the city of Kyoto. This will be utilized to erect a new facility tentatively named "Corporate Headquarters Development Center, Building No. 2" officially dedicated to research & development reinforcement, most notably planned for completion in December 2027. The press release should have included a perspective drawing of the building, but unfortunately the link to its PNG file is non-functional.
