NintendObs Daily. Friday, May 7.
After a long and low-key week, right before they presented their numbers and other financial-related announcements, Nintendo revealed a brand-new retail title that launches in about a month on Nintendo Switch, this June 11 on the eve of E3 2021, by the name of Game Builder Garage. Remember the Toy-Con Garage from Nintendo Labo? That's where the game gets its name from. In Game Builder Garage, you learn the basics of visual game programming from Nintendo with the aim of eventually creating your own games within the game itself, ranging from platformers, side-scrollers, shooters, racers, whatever you'll find yourselves capable of crafting with the tools you'll get to master. You'll also be able to share your creations across the Internet and see for yourself how games from other players are made. What's more, if that's more confortable for you, you can plug a compatible mouse into one of your Switch's USB ports and navigate the game that way.
