In classic fashion, Nintendo Direct E3 2021 started with the bang that was the reveal of Kazuya Mishima from the Tekken series as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's DLC Fighter for Challenger Pack 10. This brings both Tekken and Street Fighter together into Super Smash Bros., two of the most established fighting game franchises ever: just add Honest Eyes from Black Tide to the soundtrack, please. During the Direct, Smash Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai presented the huge variety of moves Mr. Mishima will be able to produce in the game, which is very surprising given Smash Bros.'s input system, but luckily he'll be there to explain everything in a livestream for the new character on June 28 at 7am PDT in North America, 4pm CEST in Europe. Challenger Pack 10's release date will be revealed, and there will be no details on Challenger Pack 11, the final entry for Fighters Pass Vol. 2.
