It's Overwatch Day.
Big changes are coming to the player-versus-player portion of the upcoming sequel.
NintendObs Daily. Monday, May 24.
Today is the fifth anniversary of the first launch of Overwatch. It eventually arrived on Nintendo via the Nintendo Switch on October 15, 2019, and the celebrations are live on Nintendo Switch as well. But before that, as showcased in the Overwatch 2 Developer PvP Livestream, big changes are coming to the player-versus-player portion of the upcoming sequel. Namely, the core game modes will be played under a 5v5 format, consisting of two Damage, two Support and one Tank characters. The move and the accompanying overhaul are meant to shift the experience in Overwatch from a more defensive to a more offensive showdown, and as you can see in the gameplay provided by members of the Overwatch League, it really shows. Among the plethora of other information released, one that really caught my eye is the review and rework of Bastion, along with other unmentioned Heroes.
