There was nothing for me in this Indie World Showcase. So there's nothing for me to say. Even the Japanese broadcast didn't provide anything solid, except for short footage of Neon White with a Summer 2022 release window, and Omori launching June 17. I tend to rely on this version of every Indie World Showcase for entertainment despite not speaking Japanese because, true to the ways games are sold on opposite sides of the Pacific, Japan plays to experiment, the West plays to support. But not this time. None of a list of anticipated indie titles you may know and love made an appearance. No Hollow Knight Silksong, no Sports Story, no Sea of Stars, you name it. No surprise opener and no surprise closer either, the show that was neither started with something mindblowing nor ended with the also usual "one more thing."
