It's the last regular Nintendo Power Podcast of the year.
What really made the episode worth a listen was their memories from thirty-five years ago playing the initial The Legend of Zelda game.
NintendObs Daily. Wednesday, December 8.
And just like the very first episode, it is all about The Legend of Zelda, though this time celebrating the franchise's 35th anniversary the way a certain brand-new title unfortunately couldn't. (See you in 2022.) Host Chris and his guests Ethan and Audrey from Nintendo Treehouse talked about their favorite Zelda games in whimsical ways, but what really made the episode worth a listen was their memories from thirty-five years ago playing the initial The Legend of Zelda game, even from its marketing. Indeed, in North America the very first title in the series arrived with a golden cartridge, specifying that Nintendo was really going all in with this release. Funny how they did effectively the same in 2017 with The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Speaking of that universally revered masterpiece, the episode quickly mentioned its sequel coming next year, for which Ethan and Audrey couldn't really say anything in order not to spoil the experience they're definitely working on as part of Nintendo Treehouse.
