A game first meant to empower Sony's crusade against Nintendo handhelds is now coming to Nintendo's home and on-the-go platform.

Turns out the Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Celebration wasn't all about PlayStation. A remake of an action-focused prequel to Final Fantasy VII originally developed for PlayStation Portable, Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion tells the story of Zack Fair, a mentor of sort to Super Smash Bros. series contender Cloud, with segments of his acquaintance with Sephiroth, who also joined Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as DLC Fighter. Seen from that lens, it's as surprising as logical that a game first meant to empower Sony's crusade against Nintendo handhelds is now coming to Nintendo's home and on-the-go platform.
